See if beauty school is right for you. At Rudae’s School of Beauty Culture, students enroll in a trial or “try-out” period. This means you can attend one of our programs without incurring any charges or receiving funds from Federal Student Aid (FSA). This trial period is 30 days from the start of classes for programs that are longer than 900 hours and 15 days for programs that are less than 900 hours. If you continue beyond the trial period, we will process the FSA funds as normal. All charges and funding will include the trial period.
You will be treated as a regular student during your trial period, and you must meet all the school’s regular admissions requirements. This trial period is not for Ability-to-Benefit purposes.
We do allow transfer students into our Cosmetology program. However, we do not accept transfers into any of our other programs.
Yes, we offer full-time and part-time schedules for our programs. There are several different schedule options, including night classes. We strive to make it possible for students to fit a beauty education into their busy lives!
Our policy states that students must have graduated from high school or have completed a GED equivalent. The state law says that any person qualified to receive a certification of registration to practice as a registered beauty culturist (cosmetologist) must be at least 17 years of age.
Yes, all students are allowed and expected to work in the student clinic area, providing real services to clients under the direct supervision of our licensed instructors. This is one of the ways we make beauty school exciting and beneficial to you!
If you have looked at each of our programs and you still are not sure which one is right for you, we encourage you to do some thinking about your interests, dreams for the future, and current responsibilities.
Do you love to work with hair? Then, Cosmetology could be the right choice for you. Are you most interested in nails? Consider enrolling in our Manicuring program. If you love skincare, Esthetics may be right for you. If you love all things beauty-related, and you have the time and resources to take a 1,500-hour program, we encourage you to take Cosmetology. A cosmetologist learns about a wide variety of services and techniques, which means graduates of the Cosmetology program could have more options available to them.
